- Perfect Pitch: Lauren Bartnicki achieved an honorable mention after making it to the final rounds of the competition out of approximately 600 students competing.
鈥淚 was extremely pleased with MAPS鈥 dedication and commitment, with several members attending for the first time,鈥 said Sachdev. 鈥淚t was a great honor for the chapter to receive an award for outstanding chapter planning and to have three finalists in various conference competitions with one group ranking second overall. MAPS was invited to present at the Conference this year based on their successful leadership in Community Service, based on an award received last year, under former MAPS President Kyle Dimick.鈥
Sachdev created and facilitated a brand-new Digital Marketing competition at the ICC, put on by the AMA and sponsored by McGraw Hill, an educational content company. The category was oversubscribed and a big hit in its first round. This new competition provided students the opportunity to demonstrate their digital marketing skills and apply them in a competitive environment. Sachdev also gave a faculty talk on 鈥楽trategies for Teaching Digital Marketing: Practical Assessments, Noise, and AI.鈥
The AMA ICC, a three-day event, serves as a way for collegiate chapters to receive recognition for their year-round efforts, while providing members with opportunities to contribute to the advancement of their respective chapter鈥檚 professional development, as well as their own. During the conference, members immersed themselves in a variety of activities, from participating in marketing competitions to attending numerous guest speaker events, engaging in networking opportunities and more.
